Karen began her nursing career after graduating from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1988. She currently works as a perioperative nurse and is cross-trained in multiple clinical services including plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Karen worked for many years as a clinical nurse specialist in skin care for a renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon in the Atlanta area. She was responsible for training new employees in medical aesthetics to perform chemical peels, microdermabrasion, sclerotherapy treatments, BOTOX® Cosmetic, dermal fillers and Aesthetic Lasers as well as maintaining a client base of her own.

Karen later transitioned her career to become the Director of Business Development and Clinical Education for an Atlanta based Aesthetic Skin Care Training. She incorporated medical aesthetic procedures in previously established medical offices and served as clinical support as well as a business team member. She established a clinical training program with formal didactic and practicum sign-offs which resulted in the clinicians becoming proficient in all services. Karen currently serves as a Clinical Educator for Cynosure Lasers and proficiently trains clinicians and physicians in basic laser safety and science as well as hands-on training for Cynosure’s multiple laser systems.
