Tracey Hotta, R.N., B.ScN, CPSN
Tracey Hotta, R.N., B.ScN, CPSN, is the Nursing Manager and Aesthetic Nurse Specialist for Dr. Mitchell Brown. She began her nursing career in 1984 and has dedicated the past 21 years to the field of plastic surgery. A certified plastic surgery nurse, her passion for plastic surgery led her to be the first Canadian president of the American Society of Plastic Surgery Nurses. In 2009, Tracey used this experience to bring together 3 other nursing leaders and established the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses.
In 2000 Tracey began offering Botox treatments in her aesthetic practice of dermal fillers and skincare, and is recognized as a leading aesthetic injector in Canada. In 2006 she completed her training courses on Thermage, followed by IPL and Profractional Resurfacing Treatments in 2007.
Tracey is actively involved at the local and national level and is committed to the continued education for nurses and is an advocate for the consumer. She was the national trainer for Inamed Aesthetics, which involved educating nurses and physicians on the proper injection techniques when using dermal fillers, and was also a trainer for Canderm Pharma, the distributor for Artecoll. She has presented her injection techniques, product knowledge and plastic surgical procedures both nationally and internationally in the form of lectures and workshops.
Tracey currently holds the position as editor of the Plastic Surgical Nursing Journal, on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses, a consultant for Allergan Canada, and is the Director of Operations in Canada for AAI.
