Ms. Jones completed her nursing education in 1986 from DeKalb School of Nursing in Clarkson, Georgia. The initial 13 years of her practice were focused on plastic surgical nursing as she worked along side a plastic surgeon providing every aspect of preoperative patient care and practice management as well as providing non surgical aesthetic services to the practice’s patient base.

In 2001 Ms. Jones re-focused her education and experience to develop her practice as an Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. She worked within plastic surgeons, dermatologists and occuloplastic surgeons’ offices to provide a full compliment of non-surgical aesthetic services such as Botulinum Toxin Type A (BOTOX® Cosmetic), dermal fillers, laser and light therapy, sclerotherapy and skin care.

In 1993, Ms. Jones earned her certification as a Certified Plastic Surgical Nurse (CPSN) through the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses, Inc. (ASPSN) and has maintained her CPSN status since. She has served on the National Board of Directors for the ASPSN and continues to be an active member of the society as well as serving in a leadership role. Ms. Jones is a core member and leader of the Non Surgical Aesthetic Procedure Task Force established through ASPSN in 2007 to develop protocols and strategies to ensure safe and effective outcomes for the aesthetic patient.

In 2002, due to Ms. Jones' knowledge and experience and excellent reputation in providing aesthetic services, she began to receive very frequent requests to provide non surgical aesthetic instruction to physicians and mid level practitioners across the country. As the demand for her courses increased, she established her company, Aesthetic Advancements, Incorporated. Over the past six years, Ms. Jones has personally instructed hundreds of physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses across the country in successful principles and practices of non-surgical aesthetic services. The AAI team consists of nearly thirty medical professionals and corporate staff who continue to provide the superb foundation of aesthetic instruction that Ms. Jones established. The instructional courses provide Category I CME and CE credit to the practitioner completing them. The manuals and instructional videos she has developed and copyrighted serve as additional tools for achieving superior patient outcomes. In addition to providing non surgical aesthetic services within a busy plastic surgical practice, Ms. Jones also personally provides aesthetic instruction for her company, serves as a consultant to those in the medical aesthetics industry, is a published author regarding patient safety as it relates to cosmetic injectable therapy and lectures extensively on aesthetic procedures.

AAI's instructional courses authored and copyrighted by Jill Jones, RN, CPSN are endorsed and recommended by all four major manufacturers of aesthetic injectable materials and implants. In testimony of the quality of aesthetic education delivered by AAI, these manufacturers have awarded AAI with many unrestricted educational grants.
