Dawn received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1987. Her 22 years of nursing practice have been in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. During her first decade, she practiced at a large teaching hospital and worked for the Medical College of Wisconsin, Department of Plastic Surgery. She was a perioperative nurse and a nurse clinician, involved in ongoing education, research and clinical practice.

Over 12 years ago, Ms. Sagrillo assisted in establishing a successful private aesthetic surgery practice with a nationally recognized plastic surgeon. Along side her plastic surgery practice, she has been the primary nurse injector, providing Botulinum Toxin Type A (BOTOX® Cosmetic), dermal fillers, laser and sclerotherapy treatments.

Dawn Sagrillo obtained her certification as a Certified Plastic Surgical Nurse in 1990. She has been an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses, Inc. since 1988 and has served on the National Board of Directors, the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board, and for the past 18 years, has been on the Editorial Board writing for the Plastic Surgical Nursing (PSN) journal. She has lectured across the Globe on topics pertaining to nonsurgical rejuvenation and plastic surgery and has been instructing other practitioners on nonsurgical aesthetic procedures for several years.
