Sclerotherapy: Cosmetic Telangiectasias of the Lower Extremities
This one day, 8.5 hours course will prepare you to offer what is still considered to be the “gold standard” treatment of telangectasias and reticular veins. The first part of the day will address anatomy, physiology as well as the pathophysiology pertaining to leg and facial veins. The most current techniques, sclerosing solutions, safety issues and complications to avoid will be covered. How to set up a sclerotherapy practice is essential to your success and attention will be placed on integrating this treatment into your aesthetic menu of services. Other modalities for vein treatment will also be discussed
The afternoon will be dedicated to the hands-on practice of sclerotherapy treatments by injection. You will learn the principles and pearls of obtaining a comprehensive history and physical exam followed by injecting safely and effectively. Our experienced instructors will work closely with you to build your confidence through practice techniques that have demonstrated success.
